Southeast Texans watch BCS National Championship game

BEAUMONT - By Megan Dillard - It's a game college football fans look forward to all season long: the BCS National Championship.

Number-one ranked Notre Dame and number-two Alabama went head to head in tonight's National Championship game: a chance to fight for the highest title in college football.

"Roll Tide!"

"Go Irish!"

It's a room divided room here at Buffalo Wild Wings in Beaumont.

"I'm here to watch Notre Dame beat Alabama."

"It was built into me, but when you see what Nick Saban has built there in Alabama, it's kind of hard not to root for them."

The highest-ranked teams in college football: number-one Notre Dame and number-two Alabama.

The face off?

The BCS National Championship game.

Brooke Chodzinski and her dad are lifetime Notre Dame fans.

They moved here from South Bend.

"It's always been a part of our life, and of course, we carried it here to Texas with us when we both moved here so it's always been a part of our family."

Her father Dennis has watched hundreds of Irish home games.

"I was an usher out there for 37 years before we moved away. We don't get back that often, but they are in our heart, in our prayers, and we're looking forward to this."

With eyes glued to the screen and hope in their heart, they're cheering on their Irish with all they've got.

"Roll Tide!"

Down the road at The West Bar and Grill, Collin Leslie is cheering on his Crimson Tide.

"Greatest team in the SEC, phenomenal fanbase, and all around fun to watch."

He agrees Notre Dame has had a great season at 12 and 0, but tonight, he says the winning streak stops.

"Once you bring a different team out of somewhere else into SEC land, you're starting to learn a lesson the hard way here."

Fighting Irish fans, or Alabama fans, the desire is the same: to take home the National Championship title.

Hope on both sides, but only one team will taste that victory. Southeast Texans watch BCS National Championship game
