Bond set at $1 million for man charged with murder

ORANGE COUNTY - PRESS RELEASE - An Orange County Justice of the Peace set a bond at $1 million for the man Deputies say shot and killed a husband and wife.

On Friday, November 23, 2012, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a report of gunshots in the area of Woodside Drive in north Vidor.

Around 3:00 p.m., Deputies arrived on scene to discover an adult male and female deceased.  Both victims appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds.  The victims were identified as husband and wife, Aaron Conn (w/m 5-23-78) and Summer Conn (w/f 8-4-82).  The victims were transported to the Jefferson County Morgue for an autopsy.

The suspect, Curtis Allen Garrison (w/m 3-25-86), was located by Sheriff's Deputies at another residence in the 15000 block of FM 1442 in the Mauriceville area and was detained without incident.  An arrest warrant was issued for Garrison and he was charged with Capital Murder.  He was booked in the Orange County Jail where he remains in custody.  As of this morning November 24, 2012, Garrsion had not yet been arraigned and no bond has been set.
